All technology acquisitions and upgrades and expansions to existing technology solutions and associated agreements using funds from any source require authorization by the 正版bbin平台下载 of Regents and shall be implemented in accordance with established 正版bbin平台下载 procedures under the direction of the University System of Georgia (USG) chief information officer.

The USG chief information officer may act on behalf of the 正版bbin平台下载 of Regents, without prior approval of the 正版bbin平台下载, in the authorization of information technology (IT) projects in accordance with state law and existing 正版bbin平台下载 of Regents¡¯ policy governing IT procurement.

10.3.1 Delegation of Project Authorization Authority

The USG chief information officer may delegate any or all of the authority to authorize projects to USG institution presidents or their designees based upon an evaluation by the Chancellor or USG chief information officer of the ability of an institution to properly administer the delegated authority in accordance with 正版bbin平台下载 of Regents policies, procedures, and guidelines. Delegated authority may be withdrawn at the discretion of the Chancellor or the USG chief information officer.
