The information collected helps to provide the institution with detailed criteria specific to the choices submitted. The institution president must communicate their request for expansion directly to the USG Athletics Director, Sabrina Thompson, to initiate the official review process of the USG Athletics Review Committee. Upon completion of its review, the Athletics Review Committee will provide the Chancellor with a proposed recommendation for action. If approved by the Chancellor, requests for affiliation and conference changes are presented to the BOR Intercollegiate Athletics Subcommittee for approval.
